  3. Seyaq support and your store's data

Before you start, you need:

Who on your team sees what, what happens to shoppers' data, and when Seyaq's team can look into your store are all set from WordPress.

Invite your team#

  1. Open Team

In Seyaq Assistant → Team, the owner or an admin enters the person's email under Invite a team member.

  2. Choose a role

Each plan has a team limit, and invitations count toward it.

    • Admin — settings, store information, requests, conversations and the team.
    • Support — shopper requests, conversations and the Overview's figures.
    • Analyst — reports, without private conversations.
    • Billing — the subscription on Seyaq.
  3. Send the invitation

Press Send invitation. They open the email and accept: someone new creates their Seyaq account right there, with no code to enter. Then Open in WordPress takes them to the store's Shopping Assistant screen, where they link their WordPress user; a Support or Analyst member without shop-manager rights links from their WordPress profile page. If the email bounced, the Team tab says so under the invitation: cancel it and invite a corrected address.

Shoppers' data#

  • A shopper's export or erasure request: WordPress Tools → Export Personal Data and Erase Personal Data include the assistant's data for that shopper.
  • Your privacy policy: WordPress suggests text for the assistant under Settings → Privacy → Policy Guide.
  • Consent: with a consent plugin that supports the WP Consent API, the assistant's usage statistics follow each shopper's choice.
  • A wrong email on a request: in Shopper requests, Correct the contact details fixes the shopper's email or name; replies then go to the new address.
  • Card numbers, passwords and codes: a card number or code typed into the chat is hidden before it is stored.

Seyaq support and your store's data#

  • Questions for Seyaq: send them from the Seyaq support tab; replies come there and by email. Our team works Sunday to Thursday, 9:00 to 18:00 Gulf time (GMT+4), and usually replies within 24 hours; Scale stores' requests are answered first, then Growth stores'.
  • Support access: when Seyaq support needs to look into a problem, they open time-limited access with a stated purpose. The Seyaq account's owner gets an email; it shows on the plugin's Overview, and the owner or an admin can end it there at any time.
  • The store's data: on the Account tab, the owner presses Download store data, or deletes it with Delete store data under Delete this store's assistant data (a window asks for the store name and their WordPress password) after canceling the plan. The data is deleted 24 hours later; until then the Seyaq account's owner can press Cancel the deletion on Store subscriptions. Invoices and billing records are kept.
  • Selling the business: Move store under Move this store to another Seyaq account on the Account tab moves the settings, store information and catalog; the other account's owner confirms within seven days.
  • Signing in again: moving the store, deleting its data and handing over ownership ask you to sign in to WordPress again when you signed in more than 15 minutes ago. The Seyaq account's owner gets an email when one of them starts.
