Before you start, you need:

  • The account owner's login, to invite or remove teammates or transfer ownership.
  • Your teammate's email address. It must not already have a Seyaq login.
  • A free seat on your plan. The Team page shows how many seats are in use.

Everyone on your team signs in with their own login and can open every store on the account. This guide covers inviting people, what each role can do, and which emails Seyaq sends.

Invite a teammate#

  1. Open the Team page from the sidebar

The Team members card lists everyone with their role, and shows how many seats are in use. Every login, yours included, takes one seat. The number of seats depends on your plan; see the plans.

  2. Enter their email in the Invite teammate card and press Send invite

A name is optional. Only the account owner sees this card, and only while the plan has a free seat.

  3. Ask them to sign in from the invitation email

Seyaq emails them a sign-in link and a temporary password. They join as a Member, and their row shows Invitation pending until they first sign in. They should then change the password on the Profile page in the sidebar.

The temporary password expires if it isn't used within 7 days. Your teammate can then set their own password with the Forgot your password? link on the sign-in page.

Who can do what#

Every account has exactly one account owner, with the Owner role. Everyone else has the Member role. Roles apply to the whole account, not to a single store.

Members don't see Billing in the sidebar. Billing and plan pages show them who the owner is instead.

Transfer ownership#

  1. Press Make owner next to the teammate's name

On the Team page, the button appears once that teammate has signed in at least once.

  2. Confirm with Transfer ownership

They become the account owner, with control of billing, the plan and the team, and you become a member. Only the new owner can transfer ownership again, and account emails go to them from then on.

Remove a teammate#

On the Team page, press Remove next to their name and confirm. Their access ends straight away and their seat is freed. Pending invitations are removed the same way. The account owner can't be removed, so transfer ownership first. Moving to a plan with fewer seats? Remove members first: Change plan, in the Plan and account section of your dashboard, tells you how many.

Choose your emails#

Seyaq sends two optional emails for each store. Open the Notifications page from the sidebar and tick or untick them. Each checkbox is saved straight away and applies to the store you are viewing.

  • Send alerts when my store's visibility changes: sent after a daily recheck, only when something important changed. That means your store gained or lost a recommendation, or its position changed clearly.
  • Send alerts when the weekly audit report is published: sent when the report of each weekly comprehensive audit is ready.

  • Turning an email off stops only that email. Monitoring, reports and dashboard alerts keep running.
  • Billing, account and security emails are always sent, and so is the report of your store's first audit.
  • These emails go to the account owner. Teammates see the same results on the Dashboard and Visibility reports pages, and the checkboxes are shared by the whole team.
