  1. Add a page or an answer
  2. Set the tone with notes
  3. Find what's missing

Before you start, you need:

Prices, stock and product details always come from your WooCommerce products. Shipping, returns, warranty, payment and other store questions are answered only from what you publish in Store information. When the answer isn't there, the assistant says so instead of guessing.

Where you deliver comes from your WooCommerce shipping zones (WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping). When a shopper's cart is set to a country you don't deliver to, the assistant tells them before suggesting products that need delivery; digital products are suggested as usual. The exact address is confirmed at your checkout.

Add a page or an answer#

  1. Open Store information

In WordPress, open Seyaq Assistant → Store information. The list shows what the assistant can answer from, and whether each item is published.

  2. Add a page, or a question and its answer

Add a page uses a page your site already has, such as Shipping or Returns: choose the page and its type, such as Returns and refunds, then press Add page. The assistant follows the page when you edit it in WordPress. Questions & Answers is for an answer that is not on any page of your site: write the question and its answer, then press Save.

  3. Set a return window or the main source if you need one

For returns and refunds, Return window sets the days from the order date or from the day the order is completed: shoppers see when an order's window ends, and their requests show it to your team. Tick Use this as the main source when information disagrees for the page or answer that should win over others of its type.

  4. Publish it now or from a date

Publish now is ticked, so the assistant answers from it as soon as you save. Untick it to show Takes effect on: pick a date and the assistant starts using it that day, for example a new returns policy from the first of next month, or leave the date empty to keep a draft and press Publish in the list later.

Set the tone with notes#

In Assistant → Notes for the assistant, set the tone and what to highlight. When a note asks for something the assistant won't do — revealing its instructions, asking shoppers for personal details, offering discounts, health or safety claims, recommending above a shopper's budget or answering in one fixed language — WordPress lists it in a warning.

Find what's missing#

The Overview lists the questions the assistant couldn't answer, once two different shoppers asked, and its Suggestions name every topic shoppers asked about that your store information doesn't answer yet, so you know what to publish next.
