  1. Change and publish
  2. What each card sets
  3. Bring back an earlier version

Before you start, you need:

Everything shoppers see is set in Seyaq Assistant → Assistant. Changes are saved as a draft, and shoppers keep seeing the published version until you publish. The preview beside the settings shows the assistant as shoppers see it, with your own products, and follows each change.

Change and publish#

  1. Open the Assistant tab

In WordPress, open Seyaq Assistant → Assistant. A draft you saved earlier opens in the form.

Screenshot from the Seyaq dashboard (demo store)
  2. Change what you like

Edit the cards described below. The preview follows as you type, and EN and ع switch its language.

  3. Save, preview or publish

The bar under the settings has three buttons: Save as draft keeps your changes for later, Preview on your store saves them and opens your store with the draft in a new tab (only you see it), and Publish saves and shows them to shoppers at once.

What each card sets#

CardWhat it sets
AppearanceThe assistant's name, the button icon and label, the brand colour and the text colour on it, the position on the page, the avatar and the colour scheme. Changing the brand colour sets the text colour to white or black, whichever reads better; you can then pick your own text colour, and WordPress warns you if it is hard to read.
ConversationThe greeting, up to four starter questions per language, the tone, the languages it answers in and notes on what to highlight.
FeaturesCart help, checkout review, account and addresses, orders and requests, offering your team, photo search, voice messages, spoken replies, and signing in again before an address change.
ProductsProducts to show first, products and categories never to suggest, and whether to suggest the products you linked in WooCommerce.
Where it showsWho sees the assistant, the short help it offers on its own on product and cart pages, pages to hide it on, and hiding it from some visitors to measure its effect.
Contact and privacyYour email, phone, contact page and hours for shoppers who need a person, and how many days conversations are kept.

Bring back an earlier version#

Published versions lists the versions you published. Preview on your store shows one on your store as shoppers saw it, without touching your draft, and Publish again brings it back for shoppers.
