Before you start, you need:

  • Your store's public web address, such as yourstore.com. It must open without a password.
  • A few minutes for the audit to run. No account, card or email is needed.

The free audit asks the kind of shopping questions buyers in your market ask, without naming your store. It then shows whether the AI answers recommend your store or list it among the options. The report appears on the same page within a few minutes.

Run the audit in four steps#

  1. Enter your store link on the home page

Go to the free audit form on the Seyaq home page. Type your store's address, with or without https://, and press Run free store audit. If a short security check appears, complete it.

  2. Confirm your store's details if asked

Seyaq reads your storefront to find its category, main market and languages. If it isn't sure of one, select the right option and press Start the audit. Otherwise, the audit starts by itself.

  3. Wait while the audit runs

A progress screen shows each stage, from reading your pages to asking the questions to an AI assistant with live web search. This usually takes a few minutes. You can leave the page: press Copy link to keep the link, or enter your email to get the report when it's ready.

  4. Read the report

The report replaces the progress screen automatically, with a summary at the top.

Read your report#

The top of the report shows three separate results, never added together:

  • Initial recommendation visibility score (Recommendation visibility) — how many answers recommended your store or listed it among the options. It also shows your place on the scale from Limited to Strong, and an initial sample score out of 100. Only questions that never named your store count.
  • Brand understanding — when asked about your store by name, whether the AI described what you sell accurately, and what it couldn't tell.
  • Storefront readiness — whether AI tools can reach your pages and read your product data.

Below them, the Where you stand in AI answers section shows how your store came up in the answers, and which stores and marketplaces came up as options, and how often. Then the Your first move section gives the one priority action this sample points to. If the sample points to nothing specific, that section is left out.

In the What shoppers asked — and what AI answered section, each shopping question appears as a short conversation:

  • An excerpt of the AI answer, not the full answer, with your store highlighted and its place among the options.
  • The Stores and marketplaces named and Products named in this answer lists, with your own products marked.
  • The Sources list: the sites the answer cited. The report also counts how many answers cited your own site.

The Store data readiness section gives each check a status: Passed, Needs attention, Couldn't verify or Experimental. It explains why each check matters and, where one needs attention, adds a How Seyaq helps note. Couldn't verify means the audit couldn't confirm the item, not that it is missing. The llms.txt check (a summary file for AI tools) is experimental and doesn't affect your result.

Save, share or email the report#

  • Press Save as PDF to open your browser's print window, then choose Save as PDF as the destination.
  • Press Copy link to copy a private link to the report. Anyone with the link can open the report, so share it with care.
  • To get the report by email (optional), press Email it to me, enter your address and press Send report. Seyaq news has its own box, which you can leave unticked.

Who can run a free audit#

  • Each store gets one successful free audit, ever. Every form of the same address counts as one store: with or without https:// or www., and from any page. A different subdomain counts as another store.
  • Stores already in a Seyaq account can't use it. Their reports are in the account, so sign in to see them.
  • One free audit per visitor every 7 days. To audit a second store, wait until the 7 days are up.
  • Failed or unstarted audits don't count. An audit that fails, times out or never starts doesn't use your free audit. A retry isn't a second audit.

What a subscription adds#

The free audit is one small sample at one point in time, and AI answers change. A subscription adds:

  • A daily recheck and a weekly comprehensive audit of your tracked shopping questions. You get an email when a recommendation is gained or lost, or when your position changes meaningfully.
  • Results for your tracked products, and the competing products named for the same questions.
  • Competitor tracking, change history, prioritised recommendations and the Seyaq AI Assistant.
  • An AI-readable catalog page, llms.txt and product data that compatible AI tools can read, all kept up to date.

To subscribe, press Start visibility and recommendation tracking in the report, or compare the plans first. For the steps, see Choose a plan and subscribe.
