Before you start, you need:

  • An active Seyaq plan, with the store set up for WooCommerce.
  • Your store's web address, working over https, with WooCommerce active and pretty permalinks turned on: in WordPress admin → Settings → Permalinks, any option except Plain, such as Post name.
  • A WordPress login as an administrator or shop manager to approve the connection. Installing the plugin needs an administrator.

WooCommerce runs on your own WordPress site, so there is no app to wait for. Seyaq checks your address, you approve the connection on your site, and your products start syncing. The Seyaq for WooCommerce plugin then puts your product data on your storefront.

Connect in four steps#

  1. Check your store's address on the Connect store page

Open the Connect store page from the sidebar. Type your WordPress site's address, for example https://your-store.com, and press Check address. Seyaq confirms that WooCommerce is there.

  2. Press Connect WooCommerce to open the approval screen

WooCommerce's own approval screen opens on your site. If asked, sign in to WordPress as an administrator or shop manager.

  3. Approve Seyaq on your site

WooCommerce asks for read/write access. Seyaq needs write access only to add notifications (webhooks) that tell it about product changes. It reads your products and never your orders, customers or payments. Press Approve to return to the Connect store page.

  4. Let the first sync finish

The page confirms that the store is connected, and the first sync starts. The page refreshes itself while the sync runs. When it finishes, the Store data sync section shows your product count and the Recent syncs list.

What Seyaq takes from WooCommerce#

  • Products and their variations, each product's main category, brands, up to 10 images, and descriptions.
  • Prices and stock, in your WooCommerce currency. Seyaq uses the sale price while one is active, and for a product with variations, the lowest price you can buy it at.
  • Titles and descriptions as you wrote them, in the language you wrote them in. Seyaq never translates them.
  • Draft, pending, scheduled, private, hidden and password-protected products arrive as drafts, which stay hidden from AI assistants.

Install the Seyaq for WooCommerce plugin#

The plugin adds your product data to your product pages and your store details to the rest of your storefront. It also links to your AI-readable catalog page, and makes /llms.txt (a summary file for AI tools) on your own domain open your Seyaq file, unless your site already has its own llms.txt. It adds no product data to cart, checkout or account pages, and reads nothing from orders, customers or payments. It needs WordPress 6.5, WooCommerce 8.0 and PHP 7.4 or later.

  1. Download the plugin from the Store tools page

Open the Store tools page from the sidebar and press Download the plugin (.zip). The download appears as soon as the store is connected, and the plugin is already linked to your store.

  2. Upload and activate it in WordPress

In WordPress admin → Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the .zip file and install it. Then activate it.

  3. Check the installation in Seyaq

Once the first sync has finished, go back to the Store tools page and press Verify now in the Verify installation section. The Seyaq for WooCommerce plugin check should show Found. Seyaq repeats the check every day.

Installed a copy that isn't linked yet, for example from WordPress.org? In WordPress admin → WooCommerce → Seyaq, press Link to Seyaq. The plugin finds your store by your site's address. Or, once your store is active, you can enter the store code shown on the Store tools page. Once linked, the same screen lets you switch off either of the plugin's two features.

What happens next#

  • Product changes in WooCommerce reach Seyaq within minutes through verified notifications, and a full sync runs every day to catch anything missed. To pull everything again now, press Sync products on the Connect store page.
  • Once the first sync completes, Seyaq prepares your tracked shopping questions from your catalog and starts your first audit automatically. To review this setup any time, press Audit settings on the Visibility reports page.
  • If your catalog is larger than your plan allows, the sync imports up to the limit and says so in the Store data sync section. Compare plans.

Disconnect, or revoke Seyaq's key#

  • Pressing Disconnect WooCommerce on the Connect store page removes Seyaq's notifications from your site, deletes Seyaq's copy of the access key and stops the sync. The store stays paused until you reconnect.
  • Your imported products stay, unless you tick the option to delete them, or delete them later from the Connect store page. Deleting can't be undone. It also clears the saved address, so reconnecting starts again at Check address and imports the products again. Products you added in Seyaq always stay.
  • To revoke the key in WooCommerce itself, go to WordPress admin → WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API keys, and revoke the key whose name starts with Seyaq. If you do this while connected, the Connect store page asks you to press Re-connect WooCommerce the next time Seyaq tries to sync.
